The 4th annual committee meeting [09.12.2022] conducted with physical presence and hosted by the H.EL.M.E.T. Committee Chairman Captain Panagiotis Nikiteas at MARAN DRY premises. Some of the committee members joined the meeting online. The committee was briefed on the H.EL.M.E.T. progress within 2022 and relevant activities.
The committee discussed on the H.EL.M.E.T. Assessors Training Scheme (HATS) for areas of improvement on the training process, since in 2022 the H.A.T.S. was implemented with the certification of the first H.EL.M.E.T. Assessor, who conducted the first pilot Fleet assessment onboard a vessel of MARAN DRY Fleet.
The members discussed about H.EL.M.E.T. Fleet assessment results and shared their experiences from 2022. The Committee set also the roadmap for 2023;
- Resume the Voyage, Port/ Terminal Experience survey
- Conduct an Intermediate H.EL.M.E.T. Committee meeting
- Organize events to introduce H.EL.M.E.T. to the industry
- Conduct more H.EL.M.E.T. Company and Fleet assessments
- Explore potential changes for H.A.T.S.
- Use mobile device during H.EL.M.E.T. fleet assessments
- Create new working groups for the H.EL.M.E.T. elements and rating.
