Mrs. Nikoletta Achilleos

Biography:

Nikoletta has a 1st class Master of Science in Oil and Gas Engineering from the University of Aberdeen where she was among the top three nominated MSc students studying Energy related topics, for the best MSc student paper (2012). Before that she obtained her Bachelors in Physics, with specialisation in Nuclear and Particle Physics, from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece. After graduating, she worked for a safety engineering consultancy company in Aberdeen, under the role of the Safety Engineer and was exposed to both small and large scale projects in the North Sea Offshore Industry (UK and Norwegian continental shelf). Her position required good knowledge of the principle health, safety and environmental requirements and ‘’translation’’ of those into an engineering level through several risk assessment studies, simulations, analysis etc. In 2017, she joined Prevention at Sea under the role of the Chief Operations Officer where, among many responsibilities, she was overseeing the daily operations of the company departments. She was one of the founding members of the H.EL.M.E.T. committee where she continues to be part under the role of the Secretary. In 2020 she joined Noble Energy (now Chevron) in Cyprus, under the role of EHS Specialist, to support the company in the regulatory (environmental and safety) permitting process of the activities associated with drilling offshore natural gas wells offshore Cyprus.
